He said to his hostess in a very polite and sincere manner, “I’m very sorry that I’m late, Mrs. Price.“ She answered him very FORMALLY and CORRECTLY, “I’m happy that you were able to come, Mr. Tower.“ She poured him a cup of tea and he joined some of his friends.
