You arrived in May. 6. It's 10:15. You arrived at 10:00. 7. It's 2026. You arrived in 2009. 8. It's July 13 th . You arrived on Jun 30 th . 10. EVERY Bob: Did you study last week, Paul? Paul: Yes, I studied EVERY day. I studied on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Bob: Did you practice your lessons EVERY night? Paul: Yes, I always practiced them at night. Bob: When do you play tennis? Paul: EVERY Friday afternoon. Exercise: 10.1. Practice EVERY Use EVERY to rephrase the statements. Don’t use ALWAYS with EVERY. For example: Mary studied on Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri & Sat. SHE STUDIED EVERY DAY. John was always happy in the morning. HE WAS HAPPY EVERY MORNING. 1. Paul studied at night on Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri & Sat. 2. She studied in the afternoon on Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri & Sat. 3. Paul always wanted two cups of coffee in the morning. 4. He always wanted a cup of tea in the afternoon. 5. He always wanted a dish of ice cream at night. 6. He always watches television on Saturday night. 7. John and Bob were always tired on Monday morning. 8. They were always happy on Friday afternoon. 11. ALL ALL indicates an entire period of time . Situation: It’s afternoon. Paul: Did you work from eight to twelve this morning? Bob: Yes, I worked ALL morning. We were very busy. Paul: I was tired this morning. I worked ALL day yesterday.
