Exercise: A.2.2.1. Practice General-AF Report quoted sentences. For example: Carlo said , “At the time, I take a hike around the lake every day.” CARLO SAID (THAT) AT THE TIME, HE TOOK A HIKE AROUND THE LAKE EVERY DAY. 1. Joshua told us, “I have two eggs for breakfast every morning as long as I am here.” 2. They said, “We have to talk over the ongoing problems as long as we work together.” 3. Last year, Zhu admitted, “I play golf twice a week this year.” 4. Sue told the receptionist, “I’m hoping for a room overlooking the bay.” 5. Jimmy told us, “I have coffee here every morning.” 6. In New York, Sergey said, “We are about to check out the hotel any moment soon.” 7. John said, “I cover the distance of 20 km two times a week as long as I am here.” 8. Robert confessed, “We never discuss anything with him on Mondays.” 9. Adam declared, “I am to fight for I believe in as long as there is a breath in my body.” 10. Emilia acknowledged, “I always polish my nails before I go to work.” 11. Mariah said, “I’m so happy being here.” 12. Donald confessed , “ I had studied Chinese for years before I went to Shanghai.” DONALD CONFESSED (THAT) HE HAD STUDIED CHINESE FOR YEARS BEFORE HE WENT TO SHANGHAI. 1. Maria told us, “We didn’t decide to give in but we were made doing so.” 2. Sergey said, “I have completed the English learning course.” 3.
