Samuel is telling (THAT) studying of gravity is rather a mysterious business. Natasha states, (THAT) SHE IS going to buy that neckless before long. Joshua is saying (THAT) we are always doing right things at wrong times. Exercise: A.2.1.1. Practice Reported Speech – No Back-Time Shifting Report quoted sentences. For example: Robert says , “ I ’ ve been waiting for Chen since noon.” ROBERT SAYS (THAT) HE HAS BEEN WAITNG FOR CHEN SINCE NOON. 1. He says, “I like to study at this school.” 2.
