Bill: I’m going to wear my dark suit, a white shirt, a light blue tie, and, of course, black shoes and socks. John: Who are you going with? Bill: A very beautiful girl. She has long blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin, rosy cheeks, a small nose, a wonderful smile, and a very good figure. John: Is her name Mary? Bill: Yes, it is. Do you know her? John: Yes, she is my sister’s best friend. 2. MAKE & DO Situation: It’s about five forty-five in the afternoon. Mr. Taylor is in the living room. He’s surfing the Net. He works in a bank. He MAKES a lot of MONEY. Last year he earned $385,000. After dinner, Mr. Taylor is going to MAKE a plane RESERVATION for Saturday morning. He’s going to MAKE a SPEECH in Chicago Saturday night. Mrs. Taylor and her daughter Ann are in the kitchen. They’re preparing dinner. Ann is DOING a FAVOR FOR her mother. She’s MAKING a SALAD. Mrs. Taylor MADE a PIE for dessert.
